Event Summary:
The third annual Trail Run for Haiti steps off in July - the hottest time of the year in the Kansas City Metro. The 5K run/walk through the trails and woods, symbolizes the distance and conditions that many Haitians must travel to access healthcare. Heart to Heart International, with its staff of Haitian medical professionals and American medical volunteers, is working to broaden access to quality healthcare for the numerous patients that travel these distances.

Put on your running/walking shoes and get ready for a “Haiti Hot” Trail Run for Heart to Heart International!

Saturday, July 12, 2014, Race starts at 7:30 a.m. at Olathe Lone Elm Park. This is a trail-type run (cross country style) and parts may be on uneven ground. Strollers (with larger sized tires) are welcome. It will be hot, as in Haiti Hot, so please prepare for hot and humid conditions.

Entry Fee: $25 Adults, $20 Children 13 & under

Packet Pick-up: Packet pick-up will be at Mid-America Nazarene University at the Cook Center, 2030 East College Way, Olathe, Kansas 66062, on Friday, July 11, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. You can also register for the race at this time.

Race Schedule for July 12, 2014:
6:30 a.m. Race day registration and race day packet pick-up
7:15 a.m. Begin Lining up for Race, Faster runners up front, walker’s in the back.
7:30 a.m. Start of Race
9:00 a.m. Awards

Prizes (gift cards from our sponsors) will be given to the top five (5) male and female runners overall, top five (5) children under the age of thirteen (13), and to the top three (3) male and female runners over the age of fifty-five (55).
