About Enter2Run
Enter2Run is an independent running and endurance-sports resource built for people who lace up and get out the door, whatever their pace. We cover running shoes, training gear, and the wider world of endurance sport, including cycling and triathlon, with guides written to be genuinely useful on your next run rather than to impress anyone.
Our readers range from first-timers working toward a comfortable 5K to experienced runners chasing marathon and Ironman goals. Everything we publish is written with that spread in mind: clear enough for a beginner to act on, specific enough that an experienced athlete still learns something.
Our editorial mission
We exist to help runners and endurance athletes make confident choices about their gear and training. That means explaining why a shoe or product suits a particular runner, not just declaring it “the best.” A cushioned daily trainer, a lightweight racer, and a rugged trail shoe each solve different problems, and a recommendation only helps if it is matched to your stride, terrain, mileage, and goals.
We focus on practical, tested guidance over marketing claims. When we describe how a shoe fits or how a piece of kit performs, it comes from putting it to work under the conditions it was built for.
Who runs Enter2Run
Our reviews and guides are led by Elena Marsh, Running Editor. Elena has been a distance runner for more than twenty years, training across road, treadmill, and trail through everything from short tune-up races to full marathon builds. She reviews every shoe and piece of gear against a fixed, repeatable protocol covering fit and sizing, graded mileage testing, and real-world use across different surfaces and paces.
Elena’s running background shapes the whole site. She writes about gear the way a training partner would talk about it: honest about trade-offs, clear about who a product is and is not for, and free of hype.
How we work
Enter2Run operates independently. Our recommendations are based on hands-on testing and running experience, not on relationships with any brand or manufacturer. We are not paid to place a product higher in a guide, and no brand has editorial control over what we publish or how we rank what we cover.
- We test gear against a consistent protocol before recommending it.
- We match recommendations to runner type, terrain, and goals rather than declaring one universal “best.”
- We keep guides current as shoes are updated, replaced, or discontinued.
- We correct mistakes promptly and openly when we get something wrong.
