Athens Half Marathon

The Hellenic Athletics Federation (SEGAS) and the City of Athens have joined forces over the last years and are co-organizing in the most successful way a popular sport event held on the streets of the Athens city centre. Starting from 2012, when it was held for the first time, the Athens Half Marathon event is experiencing major success not only with regard to the level of organization and services offered but to massive participation in the event as well.Course Highlights
Start LIne: The Half Marathon Race starts from Amalias Avenue, Syntagma Square, in front of the Greek Parliament.
Course: The Half Marathon Race follows: Panepistimiou Avenue – Aiolou Str – Stadiou Avenue – Filellinon Str – Amallias Avenue – Vas. Olgas Avenue – Vas. Konstantinou Avenue up to Eratosthenous Str – Vas. Sofias Avenue – Vas. Sofias /Kifisias/Alexandras Avenue Junction – Alexandras Avenue – Patision – U turn on Kefallinias Str – Patision Avenue (towards Omonia Square) – Aiolou Str – Stadiou Avenue – Filellinon Str – Amalias Avenue (change lane at Vas. Olgas Avenue lights) – At. Diakou Str – Ardittou Str – Vas. Konstantinou Avenue – Vas. Sofias Avenue – Zacharof Str – Alexandras Avenue – Patision Avenue – Panepistimiou Avenue – Amalias Avenue and finish in front of the Greek Parliament
Finish: Runners finish on Amalias Avenue, Syntagma Square (in front of the Greek Parliament), after two laps.
