Group Evolution’s 2022 endurance sports calendar launches, headlined by Dave Scott

Group Evolution has announced its 2022 programme of swimming, running and triathlon retreats, held at the stunning Chateau de la Motte Henry in the Pays de la Loire.

The program will primarily run from March to June, with Autumn camps towards the end of the year, in September and October. All camps are delivered by Group Evolution’s expert team of ride leaders, therapists, nutritionists and sports scientists, in partnership with award-winning coaches.

Six-times IRONMAN World Champion Dave Scott will host two full weeks in 2022, with other triathlon camps led by award-winning coaches, such as Fiona Ford and Mark Pearce. Additionally, Team Oxygenaddict will hold their spring camp at the Chateau, coached by Rob Wilby.

Commenting on his first camps in Europe for over 25 years, Dave Scott said:

“I am delighted, that despite the disruption of the last two years, Group Evolution have extended a further invitation to me to host these camps. Our goal is to provide a genuinely transformational experience, which focusses upon enabling each attendee to achieve their potential. I can’t wait to enjoy the Chateau and coach in Europe next year.”

Running retreats are, once again, hosted by Martin Yelling, joined in 2022 by Shane Benzie, movement coach and author of the ‘Lost Art of Running’. And, expanding upon the highly successful inaugural swimming retreat held last month, open water swimming and triathlon specific swimming camps, will take place in the Spring, with a technique camp in the Autumn.

Every camp is individually tailored to attendees’ specific goals, their likes and dislikes and their level of expertise, with an attention to detail that makes Group Evolution stand out.

Given the disruption to 2020 and 2021, Group Evolution are extending their comprehensive COVID guarantee throughout 2022. If guests cannot attend due to COVID, Group Evolution provides guaranteed refunds on all packages. In response to the global call for action on climate change, Group Evolution has also entered into arrangements to fully offset the carbon cost of each attendees’ travel and attendance at these camps, providing a truly sustainable alternative.

The co-founder of Group Evolution, Barry Williams, commented:

“The last two years have brought unprecedented uncertainty to all our lives, and we’ve tried to make it easier for our guests, by introducing a comprehensive COVID refund policy. Now we are responding to the climate change challenge, offsetting the carbon cost of our guests’ travel and introducing discounts for those who choose to car share or travel by train to the Chateau. Our 2022 programme provides transformational training, delivered by leading coaches, in a socially and environmentally responsible way.”

Named after Henry II, who stayed in the grounds in the twelfth century, Chateau de la Motte Henry is nestled in over 27 acres of glorious parkland. Extensively renovated, the chateau provides luxurious accommodation, delicious and nutritious food, high quality leisure facilities and tranquil chill-out zones for the ultimate experience. With exclusive use of the Estate and excellent travel connections to both Paris and the UK, retreats are ‘corona-safe’, exclusive and enjoyable. The Chateau is even mentioned in the Times Top 20 Chateaux.
