Trail-Marathon des Papillons

Welcome to the 5th edition of the Trail-Marathon in the Atacora mountain chain. This is the masterpiece of the African Marathon Challenge. We start with a breakfast in the area of the NGO AGERTO (Association Germano-Togolaise) located in the Yoruba-founding Kpalimé. Running slightly uphill on paved roads, crossing the border to Ghana after 12 kilometres. On our butterfly trails we will visit the friendly mountain villages before reaching 2 waterfalls. You get a free massage there… The finishline awaits you with local food and traditional music in Kouma Konda, one of this lovely villages. Charity-Background: We build the sanitary facilities of the “Gustav Nachtigal”-School in Kpalimé. We are building a mill in Kouma Konda and reforest the palm trees of the Souer de Orantes. Longterm we support the AGERTO project in Kpalimé by founding a computer class. This event will be the first day of the double event: “Running the Trails of Togo: A weekend in runners paradise”.
