NEW DATE! The largest running event in Finland, Helsinki City Running Day, is taking place on Saturday the 2nd of October 2021. The event venue and the finish line will be at the iconic Helsinki Olympic Stadium. The Helsinki City Running Day is the biggest and most international running event in Finland. The event attracts 15 000 runners from 82 nations and combines six running distances into one day. The event venue and the Finish of all the distances are at the iconic, freshly renewed Helsinki Olympic Stadium.
On October 2nd, 2021 there is something for everyone; Finland’s largest half marathon Helsinki City Run, the 41th Helsinki City Marathon, half marathon + marathon = Helsinki City Double, Helsinki City Marathon Relay, the 5K street run Helsinki City 5 and the adorable children Minimarathon.
Course Highlights
Helsinki City Marathon is a one-start-event. 42,195 meters long route goes around Helsinki finishing inside the historical Helsinki Olympic Stadium. The course starts near the statue of Paavo Nurmi and finishes at the Olympic Stadium. Various parks, miles of Baltic Sea coastline, and the Helsinki City centre are all located along the route.
