Halong Bay Heritage Marathon

HALONG BAY HERITAGE MARATHON – the most charming and beautiful running course by the world natural heritages of Vietnam, a peaceful city in Southeast Asia.Do you want to discover the vibrant city of Hanoi, Vietnam and one of the seven wonders of the world on foot? Then the the Halong Bay Heritage Marathon will be the perfect race for you.
The race started in 2015 and offers a wide range of distance options: 42 km Full Marathon, 21 km Half Marathon, 10 km and 4.2km Fun Run.
The running course has been designed to run over Bai Chay Bridge, the longest single span bridge in Southeast Asia, to provide a spectacular view from above over the magnificent landscape of Halong Bay, one of the world natural heritages internationally recognized by UNESCO. The route continues through picturesque spots of mountains and coastal lines along the bay and beautiful fishing villages, with the Start and Finish Line at Quang Ninh Museum Library – an honored architectural work.
Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh province, Vietnam, a very beautiful country at South East Asia) is formed by about 2000 islands of all sizes in the middle of the beautiful ocean, Halong bay is considered a cradle of culture of enormous biodiversity and archeological value. The race will certainly be an experience which cannot be resisted by any travel-lover, in Halong Bay, a place dubbed as “Heaven on Earth”.
Course Highlights
A most spectacular route has been chosen as the ideal racing course in Halong Bay which sets it apart from other marathons. Run alongside elite athletes and spend a glorious days in this magnificent bay. The 21-km track has been selected for the Halong Bay Heritage Marathon held in Quang Ninh next November with international participants from all around the world. On that breath-taking route, runners will have the unique chance to see stunning attractions of one beautiful Vietnam.
Kilometer signs can be found along the entire route. Owing to the conditions, however, they may be placed +/- meters from the exact point. The signs are therefore only for orientation and runners shouldn’t calculate speed based on the signs.

* Start: Bai Tho Bridge – Dang Ba Hat – Bai Chay Bridge – Route from Bai Chay Bridge to telepheric (check point 1) – Ha Long st. – Hoang Quoc Viet st – Route to Tuan Chau – Tuan Chau Beach (check point 2) – Turn round to Bai Chay Bridge – Dang Ba Hat – Bai Tho Bridge – Quang Ninh Museum
