Broken Hillman Ultra Trail Marathon

Welcome to the second edition of the Broken Hillman Ultra trail Marathon in the mining town of Kabwe. The fig Tree café opened in 2008. One of our biggest visions for this café was to bring the community together, a place where folks can meet up and also get to know new people. To connect with each other and knit our town together in a good, clean, Christian environment.In light of that, The Fig tree café has held many events like ladies’ lunches, quiz nights, markets, running events, charity events, sponsored the daily breakfast show on power FM for a year, and other sponsored events.
The Run will start at 7:00 AM at the Fig Tree café and head eastward, the track is a trial run. The runners will experience inclines, decline, sand, rough and smooth terrain throughout the 22 Km and 50Km distance. The road meanders between fields and hills. At the foot of a hill after 11 Km the 22Km will have reached the halfway point and will be heading back, while the 50Km will continue until 25Km and go back from there. There will be water points and Marshals throughout the trail.
Keeping with our vision, we are happy to host the Broken Hillman Ultra Trail Marathon this year. Kabwe is our town and we are very proud of it. This gives us an opportunity to share our pride with the rest of Zambia and World. Great prizes for the champions
The event will be hosted in line with the C19 rules as per the presidential and Ministry of Health directive.
